Oil tanker attacked in Strait of Hormuz as Iran strikes Oman port

Oman's Maritime Security Centre has reported an attack on an oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz, injuring four crew members and prompting the evacuation of all 20 people on board. Iranian drone strikes also hit Oman's commercial port of Duqm, with one drone striking a workers' mobile home and injuring one person. Qatar's foreign ministry strongly condemned the attacks, calling them a violation of Oman's sovereignty and a cowardly targeting of a country playing an active role in mediation efforts between Tehran and Washington. GCC foreign ministers held a video conference to discuss de-escalation and the protection of vital commercial waterways, including the Strait of Hormuz.
