Amity - Summer for Our Sharks

During the summer of 2012, Shark Savers (www.sharksavers.org) partnered with the fan-event 'JawsFest-The Tribute' on Martha's Vineyard (Amity, in the iconic film, JAWS). Shark Savers brought the message of shark conservation and the truth about white sharks to a new audience; life-long, die-hard fans of the film, JAWS, and to the community of Martha's Vineyard who have their own special connection to both the film and their local sharks -- as captured in these highlights and special interview with Wendy Benchley. As part of our conservation-messaging for this event, we also partnered with 333 Productions to create a short film, "Legacy: The Words of Peter Benchley" that premiered on the big, outdoor screen right before the premier of the new JAWS, remastered for Blu-Ray.
