Yonge Street is a major arterial route in the Canadian province of Ontario connecting the shores of Lake Ontario in Toronto all the way to Lake Simcoe, a gateway to the Upper Great Lakes. Running as far north as Barrie, Ontario then continuing beyond through central and northern Ontario to the Ontario-Minnesota border at Rainy River, the highway was over 1,896 kilometres (1,178 mi) long. This area of Downtown Yonge is a buzzing area filled with both locals, students, white collar workers as well as rich tourists, luxury shopping as well as dispensaries, asian restaurants and much much more.
