Can’t believe I’m back to mashups again. Discord (join to motivate me lol):   / discord   It’s been a long time! Glad to be finally back. And this time I’ve got quite a… night-y combo. First up is Night Dancer, which already contradicts a bit with the music I typically include (mostly just English). This time I’m investing in J-pop though—mostly because I’m secretly a huge fan of Japanese music lol. Anyways, Night Dancer by imase showed up in my FYP way back in 2022, but I found myself enjoying the song quite a lot and ended up having Night Dancer as part of my daily listening routine! I also love all of imase’s other songs lol. Racing Into The Night is, probably, the most notable work by YOASOBI (god I miss YOASOBI’s original music era.) still, although Racing Into The Night (夜に駆ける)’s actual music video was shdowbanned off the face of YouTube, I still come over to listen to the audio version very often. Noice work YOASOBI. Genuinely, noice work. Racing Into The Night is currently still in my rotation. And now finally back to English! With Starboy by The Weeknd—which is one of his if not most popular songs ever. Starboy got a crap ton of listens… I think in the billions now!? Darn. Anyways, this song only got incorporated because I went back into my The Weeknd phase recently, and Starboy is just catchy as hell. Look what you’ve done… what a mfing Starboy. Alright, now onto Tyler, The Creator! I included 2 songs—mainly Ring Ring Ring from DON’T TAP THE GLASS for the hook, verse and a bit of the instrumental, but I also incorporated THAT GUY’s first verse halfway through just for funsies. I have to say, Tyler got a lot more open since CHROMAKOPIA… THAT GUY is living proof of that. Almost into a mix between Tyler’s 2010s and 2020s eras. Truly amazing, even with DON’T TAP THE GLASS’ quick release after so… Ring Ring Ring got some brilliant production too, that’s why I managed to use it on this mix; mostly just Ring Ring Ring’s drums and synths tho. And now Kendrick… ah, ah, Kendrick Lamar. The goat! I used Reincarnated from his GNX album this time, not because of obligation or popularity, but because this song is genuinely so good. Reincarnated’s lyrics, flow and wordplay has been on the peaks for me, seriously. This time I used a bit of Reincarnated’s beat (which is also a tribute to another rapper—2Pac), along with the major verses that make such flow stand out. GNX is all together a nice album, but reincarnated just stands out too much man. 😭 Anyways, all original songs individually here!
