Today we examine the disturbing unsolved murder of Tina Knaub, an 18-year-old mother of two from York, Pennsylvania, who disappeared on February 24, 1984. In May of 1985, teens Richard Kuba and Troy Hughes discovered her remains in a garbage bag, buried under rocks in plain sight near the West Princess Street Bridge along Codorus Creek, just blocks from the York City Police station. With no clear cause of death, suspicion fell on John Rudacille, Tina’s boyfriend at the time, though he maintains his innocence. Tim Knaub, Tina’s father, shares his raw grief and suspicions, while her friend Lana laments, “Somebody hurt Tina bad.” Despite decades of investigation by the York City Police, questions about Tina Knaub's fate and the roles of figures like Patrick Knaub and Quinterio “Poncho” Smart remain unanswered. Help us explore the puzzling clues and enduring questions of this story to hopefully bring justice to this tragic case.
