#crochet #highlandcow #tutorial #freepattern #amigurumi Happy Friday Lovelies!!! Today we are crocheting the highly anticipated Highland Cow! I had made this plushie earlier this year and so, so many of you loved it and wanted a tutorial! So here we are! Here are a few things about this tutorial before we get started! 1. This is NOT a beginner friendly pattern! The faux fur yarn is very very hard to work with. Also I don't go into depth with terms and skills I will be using, you will need knowledge of crochet to complete this project. 2. For this video, I will NOT be using the yarn I used for the original Cow. I will be using faux fur yarn. The other yarn is SUPER hard to work with and the leftover yarn I had kinda smelled bad and I didn’t want to crochet with it! Sorry! BUT, the pattern is the same so please feel free to use the Premier Yarns Bunny in the color “brown” if you want it to look like the original cow! (I’ll list both sets of materials below) 3. There will be parts of the video where I’ll be using chenille yarn instead of faux fur yarn (for the legs and body), this is so you can see the stitches better, because it’s hard to see them with the faux fur yarn! 4. If anything I say is confusing or you just have questions please leave a comment! I would be happy to help you with any questions you have! Status on written pattern: I got a little distracted with writing Christmas patterns that I didn't release the written pattern on Etsy, I'm going to buy some more yarn and release the written pattern sometime next year! With all that said, grab your hooks and let's get crocheting! Materials for this Video: Weight 6 Chenille Yarn: Baby Bee Adore-A-Ball Yarn: Sandstone (Color) (Hobby Lobby) Weight 5 or 6 Faux Fur Yarn: Fur the Moment: Husky (Color) (Hobby Lobby) Weight 4 acrylic yarn, to sew parts together 5.0mm crochet hook 15MM Plastic Safety Eyes Stuffing, I used Poly-fil Scissors Yarn needle Stitch Marker (recommended if you’re new to using faux fur yarn!) Materials for the Original Highland Cow: Weight 6 Chenille Yarn: (Because the yarns are different weights you will use 2 different hook sizes) Premier Yarns Parfait Chunky: Toffee (Color) Weight 7 Faux Fur Yarn: Premier Yarns Bunny: Brown (Color) (Make sure you get Bunny and not Little Bunny, they are not the same yarns!) Weight 4 acrylic yarn, to sew parts together 5.0mm crochet hook when crocheting with Parfait Chunky Yarn 6.5mm crochet hook when crocheting with Bunny Yarn 15MM Plastic Safety Eyes Stuffing, I used Poly-fil Scissors Yarn needle Stitch Marker (recommended if you’re new to using faux fur yarn!
