Join me for an ultra high definition real time driving tour through the town of Ouray, Colorado. Ouray, Colorado is the county seat of Ouray County, Colorado. Ouray has a population of about 1,000 people. Prospectors began settling in the area around 1875 and the town was named after Chief Ouray of the Utes people. The town had many successful gold mines. Ouray, Colorado is frequently called the Switzerland of America due to the similar scenery and climate. Now Ouray is a popular tourist location, with the entire downtown area being a historic site.
