Es ist ein Lied, das zum Nachdenken anregen soll, und kein Geschichtsseminar. Erlauben Sie mir trotzdem zwei Anmerkungen: Der Text, auch der des Liedes, bezieht sich ja auf konkrete historische Vorgänge des Nazi-Regimes in Deutschland zwischen 1933 und 1945. Die Reihenfolge "Kommunisten - Juden - Gewerkschafter - Sozialdemokraten" ist historisch nicht korrekt. Problematisch finde ich auch die Aufzählung "Unionists - socialists - terrorists"-- warum in einem Atemzug? Und welche "Terroristen" sind gemeint? Aber wie gesagt, das sind Anmerkungen, und vielleicht ist es ja ein Anlass für Texterin und Sängerin, sich noch ein wenig mehr mit der Materie zu beschäftigen. But it is a representation of the world TODAY with references to ALL victims of oppression and that we - as a human species - need to remember to NOT let these thing happen when we see them happening and to speak out for ALL those oppressed or in danger of another person or government's brutality.
