Mayreau island is the smallest inhabited island in Saint Vincent and Grenadines, with the population around 271. The island doesn't have an airstrip so you have to access via boat. You can catch a ferry from St Vincent or Union island which both have airstrips. We accessed the island from a private sailboat where we slept aboard. Although there is a 22-acre resort at Saltwhistle Bay where the huts are close to the beach hidden in the forest. Saltwhistle Bay Beach has been listed by Conde Nast Traveler as a "Top International Beach", where most of this footage is taken. You can kitesurfing (the best spot in the Grenadines), scuba dive, snorkel, paddle board or just relax. Mayreau is a secret treasure which is peaceful and untouched; you may never want to leave.
