Scott Bailey, Deputy Director for Telecoms Diversification from the DCMS provided an outline of the strategy and its overall ambitions. Scott was also joined by Joe Butler, CTO of the Digital Catapult, and Simon Saunders, Director of Emerging & Online Technology at Ofcom to introduce the SmartRAN Open Network Interoperability Centre (SONIC) which was announced as part of the strategy.
