In this episode, join us on an unforgettable journey through the heart of the Alps—starting in Brescia, Italy, and winding our way through Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and France, covering iconic locations like the Stelvio Pass, Tremola San Gottardo, and Turin. We kicked off our ride in the early morning light, leaving Brescia behind as the sun rose over a stunning alpine horizon. The roads quickly became a biker’s dream: smooth tarmac, sweeping curves, and breath-taking scenery that carried us all the way to the foot of the Alps. Our route took us up the legendary SS38 towards the Stelvio Pass, famous for its dramatic serpentines and panoramic views. But instead of continuing to the summit, we turned off towards the Umbrail Pass, where we paused at the border for a quick cheese and tomato sandwich and a moment to soak in the high-altitude scenery. From there, we descended into Switzerland, cruising through peaceful alpine villages and enjoying the kind of road quality and scenery that makes every mile a pleasure. Time flew by as we carved through valleys and meadows, eventually reaching the Principality of Liechtenstein. We checked into our hotel in Vaduz and took a relaxed stroll through the city centre, admiring the modern charm of this tiny alpine capital. The next morning, we set off again—this time aiming for Turin, Italy. Our route led us to one of Switzerland’s most historic and thrilling roads: the Tremola San Gottardo. With its cobbled switchbacks and dramatic mountain setting, it’s a must-ride for any fan of twisty roads. After clearing Tremola, we crossed back into Italy and arrived in Turin. That evening, we explored the city’s rich architectural heritage, from Baroque palaces to art nouveau façades. The following day, we stayed in Turin to rest, visit a laundrette, and do some maintenance. Recharged and ready, we headed west towards France. With perfect weather and alpine views still surrounding us, we crossed the border via Col de la Lombarde—a high mountain pass perched above the Isola 2000 ski resort. The rugged terrain and sharp rock formations made the SP255 one of the most memorable roads of the trip. Finally, we left the mountains behind and cruised south towards the sparkling coastline of France, wrapping up this part of our epic journey filled with unforgettable roads, stunning landscapes, and the kind of freedom only a motorbike can deliver.
