Session1-Understanding Trauma, Building Hope: Best Practices for Supporting Youth and Organizations

Like adults, youth leaders in the prevention field often have strong emotional ties to their work and, like everyone, may experience trauma. In this session of the Ready to Enhance ECHO, we will discuss how to become a trauma-informed youth program and how to respond appropriately to disclosures of trauma. Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to develop an understanding of the impact of trauma on brain development, behavior, and relationships. Participants will be able to implement trauma-informed practices in their work, creating safe and supportive environments that promote healing and resilience.
