Police Press Note, September 27, 2025 Four accused arrested in separate encounters; wanted in extortion and attempted murder cases; Crime Branch Sector-30 and Central teams conduct joint operation Faridabad: Faridabad Police are continuously taking action against criminals. In this connection, the Crime Branch Sector-30 and Central teams, in a joint operation, have successfully arrested four accused in two separate encounters. Varun Kumar Dahiya, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Crime-2, stated during a press conference that on September 27, at around 4 a.m., acting on a tip-off, the Crime Branch Sector-30 and Central teams attempted to apprehend the accused riding a motorcycle on Pali Surajkund Road. Upon which, the accused opened fire on the police team. In the police's retaliatory action, the accused, Shashikant, a resident of village Koylaak, District Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, currently residing in Saraswati Colony, Sehatpur Palla, was shot in the leg. The police team arrested Shashikant and another accused, Rohit, a resident of Ucha village, Bulandshahr district, Uttar Pradesh, currently residing in Dabua Colony. Shashikant was admitted to the hospital for treatment. The accused fired approximately 10 or 12 rounds. Two pistols and a motorcycle were recovered from the scene. He further stated that Rohit's interrogation revealed that his associates, Kamal Bhadana and Golu, were waiting for him to commit another crime. Following this, the Crime Branch Sector-30 in-charge, along with his team and the accused, arrived at Sainik Colony near Badkhal Pali Road. Two individuals were spotted on a motorcycle. Upon seeing the police team, they began running. When the police chased them, they opened fire. In retaliation, Kamal Bhadana, a resident of Mohammadabad village, currently residing in Dabua Colony, Ghazipur Road, was shot in the leg. The police team arrested Kamal Bhadana and Manish, a resident of Mathiya village, Motihari district, Bihar, currently residing in Dabua Colony, Faridabad, at the scene, and Kamal Bhadana was taken to the hospital for treatment. A motorcycle, three pistols, three country-made pistols, a magazine, and four rounds were recovered at the scene. Providing further details, he said that in April, the accused had extorted money from a cloth merchant in New Janta Colony. In September, they had entered a house in Ghazipur Road, Dabua Colony, opened fire, and injured an elderly woman with a hammer. The accused were wanted for these crimes. Interrogation of the accused revealed that they were carrying out such crimes to spread terror and wanted to carry out a major crime today. According to criminal records, Kamal has 15 cases registered against him, Shashikant has 6 cases, and Manish has 4 cases registered against him. Kamal was released from jail in November 2024, and Shashikant in April 2024. All the accused were wanted in a case of extortion and attempted murder. Both the injured are hospitalized and are in stable condition.
