Another rarely screened war film is the 1958 production "The Last Blitzkrieg", starring Van Johnson (of "Battleground" fame). Johnson plays Leutenant Von Kroner, a Volksdeutscher and son of a German General. While preparing for the Ardennes Offensive, the Germans are gathering English speaking troops for a commando mission. This fragment features Von Kroner and his group posing as troops of the 106th Infantry Division. Interestingly, while the film is set in the historical background of the Battle of the Bulge, which took place in Belgium during the winter of 1944-45, the shoot took place almost entirely on location in the Netherlands.
