Copyright (c) 2014 Olympic Broadcasting Services The XXIII Olympic Winter Games were held at the Black Sea resort city of Sochi in Russia, from 7 to 23 February 2014. This is the first time that the Russian Federation has hosted the Olympic Games. The Soviet Union was the host of the 1980 Summer Olympics held in and around Moscow. In most regions, broadcast rights to the 2014 and 2016 Olympics were packaged together, but some broadcasters obtained rights to further games as well. The 2014 Games have reached an unprecedented 200 countries, more than any other Olympic Winter Games. These Games also achieved a record broadcast audience of 2.1 billion people worldwide. This orchestral soundtrack was produced for OBS, and was used throughout the entirety of the Games' international transmissions, having it being heard during replays and highlights.
