Recently, facial acupuncture has been practiced for cosmetic and mental health treatment. Particular techniques for the facial acupuncture using thin and short needles has been established and shared through seminars. For moxibustion, some practitioners use general stick-on moxa (made and used for the body) on the facial treatment based on their knowledge and experience so far. New released Chosei-kyu Soft Type has lower temperature than general moxa and it can be used on the face. However there is still risk of significant accident which could be prevent by careful practice with adequate knowledge.
