According to National Crime Record Bureau’s report, crimes against women saw a steep rise of 86% in the last ten years between 2009 and 2019. According to this report, there is a rape case every 16 minutes and a dowry death each hour. What’s worse is that conviction rate is just above 30% which means more than half of these victims wait endlessly for their convicts to face the consequences.
