If you've updated to One UI 7, you might have noticed Samsung tucks them away. But today, I'll show you exactly how to bring them back, front and center, without needing to swipe down. #android #oneui7 #galaxys24 #galaxys23 #galaxys21 Hey everyone. Samsung's One UI 7 made an interesting change to how notifications appear on your lock screen, and for many, it's a bit of a frustration. Having those immediate notifications is super useful, right? So, in this video, we're going to dive into your phone's settings to change this default behavior. It's a quick fix, and by the end, you'll have your lock screen showing your important alerts just like before. Let's get started. one ui 7 lock screen Alright, first things first, we need to head into your phone's Settings application. Find that gear icon and tap it. Once you're in Settings, scroll down until you see the Notifications option. It's usually pretty clear. Tap on that. Now, within the Notifications menu, we're looking for an option specifically called Lock screen notifications. Go ahead and tap that. This is where the magic happens. By default, after the One UI 7 update, this feature is likely set to Icons. That's why you've been having to swipe down to see your full notification content. It only shows those small app icons at the top. Lock Screen Notifications But we want to change this! Go ahead and tap on the Cards option instead. As soon as you select it, you should see your notifications immediately reappear as full cards directly on your lock screen. No more swiping needed! Now, Samsung does still limit how many full cards are displayed at the very top—usually just a couple—with additional ones combined underneath. But it's still so much easier to access them with a simple tap of your thumb, rather than having to stretch all the way to the top of the screen to swipe down. So, there you have it. This is one of those interesting changes Samsung has made, trying to nudge users in a new direction. I can see the appeal of a cleaner lock screen, maybe for calendar events or Bixby responses, almost like Google Pixel's "At a Glance" widget. But personally, I'm just not a fan of pushing those notifications even further away. So, I'm glad Samsung hasn't completely removed the option to bring them back. I'm hoping enough people switch to the "Cards" style that the feature sticks around and doesn't get removed in a future update – something we sometimes see from manufacturers when a feature isn't widely used. So, make sure you're aware of this setting, so you always have the option to change it back to how things were with One UI 6.
