#delhicrime #samaypurbadli #rohini #chandanpark #delhipolice In yet another shocking incident in the national capital, a man was stabbed to death near a metro station, raising serious concerns over public safety. The incident took place near Gate No. 1 of Samaypur Badli Metro Station in Outer North Delhi on Sunday morning, creating panic among commuters heading to work. The deceased has been identified as Ankit (20), a resident of Raja Vihar, Delhi. According to information, on March 1, 2026, police at PS Samaypur Badli received a call regarding a stabbing incident. A police team immediately rushed to the spot near Gate No. 1, Badli Industrial Area, where a large pool of blood was found on the road. By then, a PCR van had already shifted the injured Ankit to Bhardwaj Hospital in Sector-19, Rohini, where doctors declared him brought dead. The body was later sent to the mortuary at Burari Hospital for post-mortem examination. Preliminary investigation revealed that Ankit was consuming alcohol with his acquaintances, Shashi Bhushan (22), son of Kamal Shah, and Shivam (25), son of Indraj, both residents of Raja Vihar. During the drinking session, a heated argument reportedly broke out among them. The dispute escalated quickly into a physical altercation. In a fit of rage, Shivam allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Ankit in the chest, inflicting a fatal injury. After committing the crime, both accused attempted to flee the scene. However, members of the public present there chased and overpowered them. Eyewitnesses said that once people realized a young man had been stabbed, they surrounded the accused and thrashed them severely. Both suspects sustained injuries while trying to escape and during the public assault. Police soon arrived at the spot, rescued the accused from the crowd, and took them into custody. They were later shifted to Burari Hospital for medical treatment and remain under police guard. On the disclosure of the accused, the police recovered the weapon of offence — a knife — from a pile of garbage near the scene of crime. It is reported that Shivam threw the knife into the garbage immediately after the attack in an attempt to destroy evidence. However, the police conducted a thorough search of the area and successfully recovered the weapon. A case has been registered under Sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police officials are now working to establish the exact sequence of events and determine the precise cause of the dispute. They are also probing whether there was any prior enmity between the parties. The early morning stabbing outside a busy metro station has once again shaken residents of the capital. The incident has sparked concerns about rising violent crimes in public places. Both accused have been arrested, and further investigation is underway.
