With WWE clash at the castle in Scotland apon us Top Turnbuckle Podcast would like to show you where it all began in 1989 when the WWF took a risk and broadcast a live event on Sky television! Before wwe SummerSlam 1992, Clash at the castle in Wales and Scotland in or AEW All in there was an idea to broadcast a WWE event for the very first time from the Docklands arena in London and on the new uk cable network Sky TV! It was a huge risk as the wwe would test the market over 3000 miles away to determine if UK wrestling fans were passionate enough to show up and buy a ticket for the event. In context the WWF in 1989 had still not fully trusted the market in Canada and were about to host WrestleMania 6 from the Toronto skydome in 1990, The world wrestling federation were taking risks and hoping to expand outside of their comfort zone in the untied states. The 1989 Show was thankfully a huge success! Pro wrestling fans were treated to WWE superstars like Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and a rematch from the Wrestlemania main event with the immortal Hulk Hogan with Miss Elizabeth vs The Macho King Randy savage with Sherry Martel. Arguably there may not have been a WWE clash at the castle, SummerSlam 1992 or an AEW ALL IN without the success of this event so give the video a watch in honor of this piece of WWE history.
