During a feast at the East Sea, Nezha clashed with the Dragon King's third son, Prince Ao Bing. The demon clan intervened, killing Ao Bing and framing Nezha for the crime. The Dragon King then sought justice at Chentang Pass, where Nezha, unwilling to implicate his parents, took his own life on the spot as an act of apology. Originally a spiritual pearl, Nezha's fate was predetermined, and the immortal Taiyi reconstructed his body using lotus roots as bones and lotus leaves as clothing, allowing him to come back to life. However, this came with two conditions. Firstly, Nezha had to descend to the mortal realm to retrieve his five treasures, and secondly, he had to help the Dragon Princess defeat the Snake Demoness and revive the aquatic clan. Only by fulfilling these tasks could Nezha atone for his sins and reunite with his family. Nezha later discovered that the severe drought and Ao Bing's death were orchestrated by the Snake Demoness in a bid to seize power. Collaborating with the Demon Emperor, she imprisoned the four Dragon Kings, leading to a change of leadership in the Dragon Palace, making her the ruler of the seas. Throughout the journey to find the treasures and confront the Snake Demoness, Nezha and the Dragon Princess, initially adversaries, developed a deep bond. They worked together to gather the five treasures, defeat the Snake Demoness and the Demon Emperor, revive the aquatic clan, and uphold justice.
