SIR-RFS Webinar: n-BCA Venous Malformation Glue Embolization for Immediate Surgical Excision Presented by Dr. Giri Shivaram, MD Assistant Professor of Interventional Radiology and Pediatric Radiology University of Washington [email protected] Venous malformations are painful, non-neoplastic congenital lesions most often presenting in childhood. Historically, percutaneous sclerotherapy or stand-alone surgical excision have been mainstays of invasive treatment. However, these approaches often require multiple procedures due to incomplete therapeutic benefit at a single session. An alternative to this approach is percutaneous venous malformation n-BCA glue embolization immediately prior to surgical excision. This technique affords the potential for single-stage treatment. This webinar will provide an introduction to technique, indications, and outcomes.
