In this video, I show step by step how I seasoned my Stargazer Cast Iron skillet with the cast iron cookware product Crisbee. First, I washed the skillet with warm water and a kitchen sponge to remove the light film of oil left on the skillet from the factory. Next, I dried it with a lint free towel, and heated in a 275 degree oven for about 15 minutes. Next, I rubbed a small amount of the Crisbee puck onto the cooking surface, handle, and bottom of the skillet, and rubbed it into the cast iron with a cut up t-shirt. When I was done covering the skillet, I wiped any excess Crisbee oil with another lint free cloth, and placed it into the oven at 400 degrees for one hour. After one hour, I applied another coating of Crisbee oil and placed my Stargazer Cast Iron skillet in the oven for another hour. I repeated this process a total of four times. Between the second and third Crisbee application, I let the skillet cool overnight, and began the third application in the afternoon. I was totally impressed with the results that the Crisbee puck had on the Stargazer Cast Iron skillet, and will continue to use it and recommend it to other cast iron cookware enthusiasts.
