An elbow blitz, however, is an underutilized form of technical savagery. There is an issue with "hand heavy" blitzes when our competition holds their ground, refusing to fall back on their heels. In addition to this an effectively tight guard can crowd or completely block the punches [often the case with strong Dutch Kickboxers]. This is where the elbow comes in.
