This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. "Do you know who I am?" A question Kris was asked that shapes his talk about career; where career is the constellation of life roles you live in a lifetime. Kris is currently serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University. Prior to joining SFU, he was at the University of Lethbridge (last post as Associate Vice-President Academic) for 11 years, and before that he spent 10 years at the University of Calgary, teaching career development and counselling courses in the Counselling Psychology program. Kris' administrative specialties include program design and development, inter-institutional collaborations, student services. Academic specialties include career development and counselling psychology. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
