Downstream Dry Fly - The Dump Cast & Line Control

Oliver Edwards ‪@LearnFlyFishing‬ demonstrates how to cast a dry fly downstream and control the fly line to give the dry fly a natural drift. If the fly is not drifting naturally with the flow of the water, you will not catch a thing. This is not a technique used too often. Firstly, it's not as easy as it looks to get the presentation right. You'll need to practise after watching this, and there are many places that dry fly fishing is only permitted if the fly is cast upstream. Don't use this if it's not allowed. This is probably more the case in the UK than the USA.
