✅ Where to go strawberry picking in Finland? In this video, my (Megha’s) parents join us for a summer adventure to Alitalon Marja, a charming Finnish farm located near Turku, to try what many call the best strawberries in the world. This was their first time strawberry picking, and we bring you along for the full experience, from driving to the farm, to filling our buckets, to tasting berries fresh from the plant. ✅ We start our berry-picking journey with a short 30-minute drive from Turku to the peaceful Finnish countryside, where the calm surroundings and neatly lined strawberry rows immediately impressed my parents. We prepared for the day by wearing shoes suitable for mud, applying sunscreen, and bringing along buckets for collecting strawberries. After arriving at the farm, our buckets were weighed, and then it was finally time to start picking ripe, juicy berries under the Finnish summer sun. ✅ While we picked, we talked about the Finnish activities bucket list – things like berry picking, mushroom foraging, spending a weekend at summer cottage (mökki) and sauna culture – and why these traditions are so beloved in Finland. We explain in the video how the strawberry picking system works: you only pay for what you pick (per kilo), making it a fun, affordable activity for families.
