Paul Warmack and his Gully Jumpers "Paddy On The Turnpike" (trad) Prince Albert Grand Ole Opry War Memorial Auditorium Nashville, Tennessee Saturday 4 January 1941 (see note) Paul Warmack - mandolin Charles Arrington - fiddle Burt Hutcherson - guitar William Roy Hardison - banjo announcer - George D. Hay Note on the date: The source tape for this upload is dated January 1941. Other performances from the same show found on youtube have a date of December 28th, 1940. It's clear from the announcers' patter that the show took place after Christmas, and there are multiple references to the 'year ahead'. George D. Hay begins by wishing everyone a Happy New Year, which could have occurred on either date. I've gone with '41 simply because that's what the source says. Photo of the Gully Jumpers found online, no photographer credit. L-R: Hardison, Arrington, Hutcherson, Warmack Corrections and additions to this info will be greatly appreciated.
