Obscenity and nudity have been strictly prohibited at the Khandagiri Yatra. The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued new guidelines for granting NOC (No Objection Certificate) for the festival. As per the guidelines, any display of nudity or obscene performances will lead to immediate cancellation of the NOC, following which the Yatra will be shut down. The BMC has clearly stated that obscene or vulgar dance performances will not be allowed in the name of melody shows or dance programmes. Such acts will be treated as a violation of the conditions laid down for permission. Only if the Yatra committee agrees to and abides by the prescribed rules and regulations, the NOC will be granted.
