Celeste Mods - Welcome to Megalophobia

this video was started on march 26th, 2025. how long could it possibly take? ---- Welcome to Megalophobia is the winner of the 2025 Esoterica Contest, and I think it's be hard to argue against it. It is a truly massive map that does so many things few have attempted before. From the hours-long custom soundtrack to the sheer amount of gameplay to the metapuzzles and underlying randomization, Megalophobia has become part of the Celeste community's culture since it released back in February. The map was always intended to be solved by the whole community working as a group. I was lucky enough to be a part of the first "wave" to do so, and it took us a little over a week to work through everything. For those who haven't completed the video yet, surprise; this is just a third of what we accomplished in that week. I've been sitting on this footage since late March/early April, and I figured it was time to finally get at least some of it out. There's so, so much more to come. I promise it'll be out eventually, but for now, I hope this is enough. Shoutout to "Roxxy" and "Dewfox", the creators of the map (who may or may not be revealed in part 2) as well as Weave, its fantastic composer. This experience was special to me, and though it's been kind of a burden at the back of my mind for the past five months, I wouldn't have wanted to go without it.
