A night walk along the BTS skywalk in Asok, moving above street level through one of Bangkok’s busiest areas. The perspective shifts between the walkway itself and the city below. No talking. Just the sounds and atmosphere of Bangkok at night. 🔔 Subscribe for new Thailand walks 3x per week! Notes from this walk: Weather: Clear, 31C Date: Saturday 28 February 2026 at 7:31PM Sawadee friends! For today's walk, we're spending time above Sukhumvit, along the skywalk on a Saturday night. The walk starts just west of the Asok BTS station, looking towards Nana along Sukhumvit Road. Along the way, I stopped several places to enjoy the view from the Skywalk down to the streets and alleys below. Asok is always busy, but Saturdays seem especially lively. On the way down towards Sofitel, I stopped to look over Soi 19 and Soi 15 intersections and down Sukhumvit with the traffic flow. I also saw the SW1 Market from above. All of these are easily accessible from the skywalk. The skywalk ends just past Sofitel, where you can descend to street level and continue towards Nana. I turned around and walked back towards the BTS station, stopping to look at Koreatown and SW1 Market again. At the BTS station, you can either use your Rabbit card or day pass to pass directly through, badging in and out of the station without taking a ride or you can go around the station itself via a walk next to Terminal 21. I walked through the station first. On the other side of the station, I turned back and walked towards Terminal 21, so you can see the walkway to the entrance. This is also where you can go if you're staying at the Grande Centre Pointe hotel at Terminal 21, there's a direct entrance to the hotel from the Skywalk. I walked back towards the station, then turned left to head closer to the Asok intersection, where Sukhumvit and Asok-Montri Roads meet. Beyond there, I continued to the eastern end of the skywalk, where you can enter the Exchange Building or the Interchange Building. Or you can head to street level and walk towards Phrom Phong. I ended the walk looking over the Asok Intersection, which is so stunning at night. Thanks for watching. I hope you liked our Skywalk loop for this walk. Skywalks in Bangkok are so convenient in congested areas around BTS stations. Sometimes I wish the connections were a little better, the views you get from there are worth the climb, I think. I love our walks together.
