Unbreakable Score Suite - James Newton Howard

With the movie of Glass being released this weekend, I decided to do a little homage by creating a suite of the original score of Unbreakable composed by James Newton Howard, in his second collaboration with director M. Night Shyamalan after The Sixth Sense. This score is one of my favorite scores of his because of the great themes he develops through the entire duration. Altough this is a superhero movie, the score is not bombastic or brassy, but instead goes the slow, intimate and almost moody route, with the themes being played by soft strings and gentle piano, until the climax of the movie where the orchestra gets bigger, the brass enters together with some electronic beats and create sme of the best tracks of James Newton Howard's entire career. About the themes, there are three main identities, and some secondary ideas. The Glass theme which represent this mysterious character and is usually played in delicate piano representing his fragile bones, because of the strange disease he has. Then we have the Hero Theme, which represent David Dunn, the main hero of the movie and is a heoric and great melodic theme, and at last, we have the Vision Theme, which accompanies David's journey to become a hero, and also serves as a theme for the relationship between David and Mr. Glass.
