I've wanted to make a video about this for a while now but never got around to it, this is a really weird oversight to me and I'm surprised it went unnoticed before Halo 3's final release. I'm so confused on how this even happened, the tools include commands to dump the bitmap back to usable image formats but whoever last worked on this at Bungie decided to.. take a screenshot of the bitmap and reimport it with the color picker tooltip being displayed? It's honestly such a weird issue and boggles my mind that this went unnoticed during Halo 3's development. I'm still running a sale on Patreon by the way!
