Bigorski Monastery (St. John the Baptist) - one of the most beautiful and special monasteries in North Macedonia. This place is over 1000 years old, full of history, and surrounded by stunning nature. In 2009, the monastery was badly damaged by fire, but it has since been rebuilt with love and care. Today, it’s home to over 30 Orthodox monks, and it's one of the few places where you can still hear traditional Byzantine church singing – truly amazing to experience. I stayed overnight here – to talk with the monks, eat with them, pray with them, and feel the deep peace of this holy place.
