For The Love of Peas, Potatoes and Parsnips | April Planting

Join me in my vegetable garden as I create a simple, quick and incredibly easy pea frame and plant out my first batch of peas, Kelvedon Wonder. I also plant out my first sweetpeas, plant some potatoes and start sowing some wonderful root vegetables. Carrots and parsnips are firm favourites of mine, so it’s always good to get them started. It’s been incredibly windy at The Farmyard Garden’s home allotment this last week, which presents some challenges for me during this video. Comedic moments are included! It’s been fabulous to plant the first things in the kitchen garden extension too! It feels like it’s always been laid out like this on my plot. A lot of work behind the scenes has gone in to filling up the new beds to prepare them for planting. Spring has really sprung. So much is coming back to life and shooting up now.
