This is part of a series of Crochet Lessons where you'll learn beginner basic, easy, and intermediate level crochet skills. In this lesson you'll learn how to make a triple (treble) crochet stitch. It starts @ 3:50 minute mark. To crochet a tr crochet stitch: *YO (yarn over) TWICE to begin insert hook (into 4th chain from hook), YO, pull up a loop on the hook - there will be 4 loops on your hook), YO and pull thru the first 2 loops on the hook, YO again and pull thru the next 2 loops on the hook, YO again and pull thru the last 2 loops on the hook, continue until you reach the end of the row (last chain marked with a stitch marker!). To start a new row with tr crochet stitches, you chain 3, turn, and insert hook in the 4th chain from the hook. Crochet pattern symbols (US terms) in today's lesson: tr = triple (treble) crochet stitch ----------------------------------------------------- BONUS: I do REVIEW all 4 stitches I've taught (in my previous lessons 1-4) in the "practice project" at the end of this video! It starts @ 20:24 minute mark. The pattern: Chain as many as you'd like your project to be wide (I chained 13 as an example) *sc (in 2nd chain from hook), crochet 12 sc stitches back across the row (insert your hook under both loops of "V" for all rows of this pattern) ...count! place stitch marker! ch 1 and turn hdc (2nd ch from hook), crochet 12 hdc stitches going back across the row...count! place stitch marker! ch 2 and turn dc (in 3rd ch from hook), crochet 12 dc stitches going back across the row...count! place stitch markers on both ends! ch 3 and turn tr (in 4th ch from hook), crochet 12 tr stitches going back across the row...count! place stitch markers on both ends! Repeat from the beginning: (marked with a *) Remember, at this point, to ch 1, turn.... and so on until you reach the desired length of your project. ------------------------------------------------------ Watch, learn, practice-practice-practice!....and then go on to the next lesson. *This is the last of the "beginner basic" lessons. The next lessons will focus on "easy" crochet skills, that build on the foundational skills learned in Lessons 1-5 of this series. I highly recommend you master these basic stitches before moving on. . Thanks for crocheting along with me! If you've been following my lessons from the start, I'm so glad I could be the one to teach you how to crochet the basic stitches. Congrats! We're ready to move on to more challenging crochet skills.
