At Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, we started our trip with the Dunes Trail Loop hike, which features a mix of Wax Myrtle and Coastal Forest. After a peaceful walk to South Jetty Beach, we enjoyed the Oregon coast, which is perfect for swimming, kiteboarding, and catching glimpses of the Pacific. Old Town Florence was home to the Siuslaw Pioneer Museum, and afterward, we headed to Mo’s Restaurant, famous for its clam chowder that’s as good as the rest of Oregon’s cuisine. Not to mention the stroll along the Florence Boardwalk, where we saw a couple of seals, did some shopping, and enjoyed some of the best old-fashioned ice cream floats and treats.
