Bringing you to Taiwan's most EPIC destinations!!! 1000m altitude gain over only 5km of steep mountain trail brought us to this magnificent secret location. The track to reach this area was super steep and narrow which made for tense but also fun challenges throughout. Especially when we encounter oncoming traffic on this sigle lane trail... This spot was shared with us as one of the best places to spend the night in the Nantou region of Taiwan. We stayed for 2 days it was just that good. Spectacular views over Taiwan's famous Sun Moon Lake had us believing that this may well be one of the most awesome locations we've ever camped. During our stay we learned that in fact this land is private property and the owner is so nice that he shares this stunning place with the public. We couldn't think of many places in the world where this sort of thing would happen. We also visit a beautiful natural hot spring area on the banks of a river deep in the mountains of Nantou.
