iTind: Minimally Invasive Treatment for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia in Austria, Vienna

In the prostate center of Confraternität Private Hospital, the new treatment technique "iTind" is being used for the first time in Austria for benign prostate enlargement. iTind is a small device that is temporarily placed in the prostate area. The gentle procedure is carried out under light sedation or local anesthesia, lasts only a few minutes and has hardly any side effects. After about a week, the device is removed again. Typical symptoms of a benign prostate enlargement, such as a weak stream of urine, frequent urination or the feeling of not being able to empty the bladder completely, are quickly relieved with this new, minimally invasive treatment method. In addition to iTind, two other gentle methods are used in the Prostate Center of Confraternität Private Hospital with prostate artery embolization (PAE) and Rezum water vapor ablation for benign enlargement of the prostate.
