Ordered the kit from kithub in US&A, and it was delivered to Europe a few weeks later. This is my first at soldering PCBs since a couple of simple boards at school 25 years ago. I bought a PCB holder (Duratool D03170) for £8.99 to assist with the build, and the foam tape for £1 at Poundland. I used a Weller W61 which I have had for 15 years for the soldering, it's a 60W temp controlled iron, maybe a bit big for this type of work, I used to use it for making up RG213 connectors. The build took me about 3.5h. I prepared the drinks can earlier for cutting the hole in the rubber liner, neat hack as it produces a perfect circle. The board powered on no problem at the mid build stage, then in the evening I took it out for the proper log session around the city, the data was uploaded and approved by the next morning.
