It has been said either a short circuit or a cylinder blast might have taken place. However, the exact cause of fire remains unknown yet. Firefighters have rushed to the spot to douse fire. As many as 18 vegetable shops were gutted in the fire. All the 18 shops were constructed of tin, bamboo and wood. However, all the shops were shut when fire occurred. The fire vehicles that were used to douse the fire were:Three fire tenders with a capacity of 4500 litres each.Two water bowser/tankers of 10,000 litres each.Two water bowser/ tankers of 16,000 litres each.
