WWE SmackDown this week was all about the road to Elimination Chamber and things got intense very quickly. The show had multiple Elimination Chamber qualifying matches and some big storyline developments heading toward WrestleMania season. Cody Rhodes opened the show and the tension with Drew McIntyre continued to build. Their rivalry is clearly heating up and it feels like something big is coming soon. In the women’s Elimination Chamber qualifier, Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax and Kiana James faced off in a triple threat match. Kiana James picked up a surprise win and secured her spot in the Chamber match. Tiffany Stratton also got a strong win over Alba Fyre, while Oba Femi dominated his match in convincing fashion. The men’s Chamber qualifier featured Carmelo Hayes, Damian Priest and Trick Williams. Trick Williams won the match and officially qualified for Elimination Chamber. The main event saw Aleister Black defeat Randy Orton after interference from Drew McIntyre, which added even more drama before the premium live event.
