People always ask, how do various gutters perform during heavy rains? Here's your chance to see for yourself. Episode 9 of the 2025 Ultimate Gutter Guard Challenge was a fun video to make due to some of the heaviest rains in recent memory. Most of the good stuff happened on the north side gutters, when it was raining really hard. We had a chance to look at Gutter Rx, Shur-flo, Englert MicroGuard, LeafOff, the solid gutter cover from Truss Building Products, plus our long-term testers LeafFilter and MasterShield. Each of these gutter guards were pelted by rainwater, so be sure to check them out by selecting the chapters below. It had pretty much stopped raining by the time we got to the south side gutters, but the gutters for both the open gutter and the expanded metal gutter screen were full of water. We had seen this in earlier episode where there was enough debris inside the gutters to restrict the water flow into the downspouts.
