As we walk, we pass classic early 1900s architecture, local shops and restaurants, and some vibrant public art—including several murals celebrating The Simpsons, a nod to Springfield’s claim as the inspiration for the iconic TV show. This walk includes glimpses of historic theaters, unique storefronts (including a high school spread across several of them), and a mix of small businesses like meat markets, grocers, vintage shops, and the Emerald Art Center.
