While trying to avoid being bitten by the macaws I managed to remove the old used up bedding and replace it with fresh pine. In this video you can get a close look at how these birds react to people, when they are in breeding season. Yes, they are fun to be around, but can be loud, during the morning and evening (dusk & dawn - 1 hour each- ) hour's. They don't want me near their nest box so they are fighting me off. The next video I will show how the concrete slab works, basically I can hose the old seed off to one side of the cage and since the cage over hangs the slab by a few inches the old seed falls off the edge & goes into a rain gutter that directs the crud to one side where it's trapped in a net and the water is strained out, stay tuned........................
