C919 vs 737 & A320neo: My First Flight on COMAC’s Jet with China Eastern

I recently had the opportunity to fly on a Made-in-China passenger jet: the COMAC C919. COMAC stands for Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. While there’s been a lot of chatter online—some fair, some biased—I wanted to cut through the noise and experience the aircraft for myself as an aviation enthusiast. To do that, I took a round trip between Shanghai and Chengdu on China Eastern Airlines' C919.
