Valheim - How to Hunt Serpent - From Serpent Trap to Serpent Stew

I love Fishing in Valheim. The bigger the fish the more fun it is to catch! And they do not get any bigger than serpent! My most recent serpent trap is founded on a Black Forest Island, surrounded by Ocean Biome. Once my structure was completely built, I removed all workbenches and base items except for a campfire. Workbenches, Stonecutters, and other base items will prevent serpents from spawning in the local waters. If you want to build a trap, be sure to remove those items. A campfire does not have the same effect but be sure to only have one or none . You can use the campfire for an 8 minute rest. A portal to a place with higher comfort is recommended especially for new serpent hunters. Portals are not considered base items and do not create a base radius. Comfort level seems to increase the invisible base circumference so do not use any comfort items at the serpent trap. You can try and see if you have a different experience than I did but the comfort killed the serpent traps on one of my servers for days until I destroyed them. Serpent Stew is easy to make if you are prepared to gather all of the ingredients. In this video ,we haul a serpent to the trap, gather all the items that the serpent drops, and then move on to gathering honey and mushrooms quickly and conveniently as we head to the kitchen! Two hearth sit side by side both with double iron cooking stations and a level 2 cauldron nearby waiting on a lit fire below to make the delicious Serpent Stew! Serpent Stew can be made once you have some iron and chain as well as the hearth.
