I got to explore Borneo through the cities, villages, and my absolute favorite - the jungle. Being able to spend the night essentially under the stars just covered by a mosquito net was heavenly. I had the sounds of nature helping me fall asleep. I got to wash my laundry in a river... It was incredible to get back to the basics. Hiking through the jungle in incredibly humid and hot weather was such an adventure. I got to see so many interesting plants, insects. and animals while on my journey. I absolutely cannot wait to go back again!! My heart is in Borneo!!!!
