It's time for another Twelve-Inch Tuesday! Today's video features a somewhat rare Barry White 12-inch single from Canada, released in 1978 on the 20th Century Fox Record label as 3209-67. Both sides are the album version, but sound better on this 12-inch, 45-RPM version. Side one of the original LP has three lengthy tracks and can sound somewhat pinched. Both are from the Barry White album 'The Man'. (The US promotional 12-inch single is pressed with the A-side on both sides of the record.) This takes me back to when dance music was first being played on the radio, and "Sha-La-La" was the first Barry White tune, aside from "Love's Theme," that I had heard. As we're in a "border" city, the local DJ probably had this Canadian 12-inch single and chose to play the B-side. Side A: Your Sweetness is My Weakness Side B: Sha-La-La Means I Love You
