A 27-year-old techie, Shilpa, was found hanging at her residence in Bangalore. Following the incident, her husband Praveen has been taken into police custody. Shilpa's family has filed a complaint alleging that she died by suicide due to constant dowry harassment from her husband and in-laws. The complaint states that in the last three months, the husband's family began demanding more money, which allegedly led to Shilpa's depression. Her parents also claim she was taunted for her skin color. According to her family, they had spent 40 lakhs on the wedding three years ago and had also given gold ornaments.
